Jacqui Nel started her career in 1981 in the logistics division of Safmarine & worked her way through into the Exhibitions Industry by working for RE Rogers in 1993.  In 2002 she started Exhibition Freighting GSM South Africa, together with EF-GSM UK.  Due to her love for the Exhibitions Industry, she got involved with EXSA & became a Board Member in September, 2021, and has since further become Vice Chair, aiming to support the Provincial Chairs and help manage the affairs of the Association. She believes that being a member of an Association is vital to keep up with the changes & challenges that are happening around the world, not to mention that it brings credibility to your business within our Industry.

When she joined IELA in 2017 and joined the Industries Relation Working Group to assist with connecting South Africa to IELA. Jacqui believes that the logistics knowledge we all have is key to the success of the Exhibitor at an Event.

In her own business she supports various NGO’s, including a disadvantaged school, buying and delivering collateral left over after an event to the school so that they can raise money from the recycling. These actions are thereby embracing the Goals of Sustainability.
